Monitoring and Data Analysis Officer

Uttara, Dhaka (on-site; occasional field visits) · Application deadline: Open until filled

Job description

The Foundation's policy is to publish only verified information, never inflated numbers. In this role you will build the program monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) system and turn the planned KPI dictionary into everyday practice: a definition, calculation method and data source for every indicator. The work involves data about child learners and beneficiaries, so data protection and child safeguarding are a core part of the role. The role reports to the Executive Director, and to Aminur Rahaman until the Executive Director joins.

Responsibilities

  • Design and run the program monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) framework
  • Maintain the KPI dictionary: for every indicator, its definition, calculation method, data source, owner and reporting schedule
  • Build data collection forms and the flow of data from the field, and run regular data quality checks
  • Prepare dashboards and regular reports for management and the board; make sure every figure is verified before it is published
  • Protect data: minimal collection, role-based access, and no identifiable child or beneficiary details in reports
  • Run baseline, progress and learning reviews for pilot programs and share the lessons with the program team

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in statistics, economics, development studies, social science, computer science or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation or data analysis; experience in the development or education sector is preferred
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets, and experience with Power BI, Looker Studio or a similar dashboard tool; SQL, KoBoToolbox or ODK is an advantage
  • Skills in indicator design, sampling and basic statistical analysis
  • Firm data protection and confidentiality principles; commitment to the child safeguarding policy and consent to a background check at the final stage
  • Amanah, objectivity and commitment to Islamic values: presenting data truthfully, without exaggeration
  • Report writing in Bangla and English
