How Learning Works

How live classes, self-paced lessons, teachers and learner support are planned to work, and what the academy will not do.

Learner registration is not open yet. It will open only after the curriculum has been reviewed, teachers have been approved, and safeguarding and privacy arrangements are ready. There is no sign-up form at present.

Two ways to learn

Self-paced lessons that anyone can follow (planned to be free), and teacher-supervised live classes with limited places. Neither is available yet.

Live learning

Live classes are planned as small sessions led and supervised by approved teachers.

  • Each class has limited places so that the teacher can listen to every learner.
  • Meeting links are shared privately with registered learners and never posted publicly.
  • Classes are recorded only with consent, and recordings stay private.
  • Minors can take part only when safeguarding arrangements, including a guardian's involvement, are in place.

Live classes are not open yet. The number of places will depend on how many approved teachers are available.

Self-paced courses

Recorded lessons and practice material that learners can follow at their own pace on a phone or computer.

  • Self-paced content is intended to be free for anyone to use.
  • Teacher-supervised services, such as live classes, placement and recitation checks, have limited capacity.
  • Free self-paced content does not mean unlimited free access to live teachers.
  • Core education is intended to be offered without compulsory tuition fees, subject to approved funding and capacity.

No self-paced course is available yet. Lessons will be published only after review.

Qualified teachers

Only teachers approved through the Foundation's teacher training and approval process will teach at the Darul Quran Online Academy.

  • Teachers are selected, trained and assessed before they teach.
  • Learners' recitation is assessed by teachers, not by software.
  • AI recitation feedback is not offered.

If an AI tool is ever considered in the future, it would be optional, never authoritative, and used only after validation and with the learner's consent.

Learning support

Learners should never feel alone. Support is planned alongside the lessons.

  • Help choosing the right pathway through the placement assessment.
  • Guidance on building a steady practice and revision routine.
  • Simple technical help for joining classes online.
  • A respectful way to raise concerns, including safeguarding concerns.

Support channels will be announced when the academy opens. For now, please use the inquiry form for general questions.

Certificates

Any certificate from the academy will be a certificate of course completion or participation issued by Hifzul Quran Foundation. It is not an Ijazah, and it does not claim any government accreditation.

Quran content governance

The academy will use Quran text, translations and recitations only from verified, properly licensed sources, and only after scholarly review. No Quran text, translation or recitation has been published by the academy yet.
